Misinformation leads to panic

The indescribable amount of misinformation regarding the COVID-19 virus going around is driving the people of Washington and maybe other states mad with fear. The CDC direct website states that if we treat it like any other virus, we will be safe and prevent the spread further and it is as simple as washing your hands, social distancing, and avoiding respiratory droplets from other people.

This fear instilled in the people is causing them to buy out more products than are needed and take away from the people who don’t have those funds readily available. Due to this happening, more people are leaving their homes and not practicing the basic things in order to stop this spread of the virus.

I believe stores should restrict the number of products a person can buy during this time such as produce and toilet paper. It is simple as buying what you need, not what you can.
