Please don’t prolong this

During this pandemic that we find ourselves in, most states have been ordered to stay home and stay safe. While many people stayed confined at first, we are now a month in and people have started to gather again.

It may seem like there is no harm if a couple of people get together; all it is really doing is prolonging how long everyone has to stay home. A harmless choice to just go to a friend’s house could be another day that a small business can’t reopen to start making profit again.

I beseech you to stay home and wait until the pandemic is over. Many people don’t even know if they have the virus and could pass it on. Take up a new hobby, clean out the garage that hasn’t been cleaned in a while, or go for a walk — just make sure that the virus is being contained. By staying within our families, following the regulations, and maintaining optimism, we can get through this pandemic.
