An eye-opening concept

I am so thankful that Sue Lani Madsen has once again shown us the way.

In her Thursday, April 30th, column (“Let’s move forward creatively”) she explains that through Mr. Allan Savory, president of the Savory Institute, the rest of us, including epidemiologists, immunologists and physicians, can be directed towards seeing the big picture of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Without Mr. Savory, his daughter Sarah (who is writing a book detailing holistic concepts for urban dwellers), Sue Lani and her husband, we would all be hopelessly mired in our “reductionist” thinking which glues us to our own narrow-minded disciplines.

Surely it never occurred to my husband and me that we could view the current pandemic in terms of many different factors and weigh the effects of it on the economy against the effects on public health. I just can’t wait to get hold of Sarah’s book so I can better see the holistic light.
