The Y is vital

Y’s nationwide are fading from the national portrait due to the impact of this pandemic. Many of us don’t realize the expanse of services the YMCA ensures for each and all of us in our community. So many of us depend on the health and well-being found through the Y in our lives.

Where would Spokane be without the critical child care services integral to so many families, the cherished legacy of the summer camp friendship and memories, programs for teens contributing to high school graduation and scholarships empowering our youth to thrive and contribute to a brighter future, critical support for the health and well-being of our seniors as well as for people of all ages, putting cancer survivors on a path to physical and emotional recovery, the services extending hope and reassurance to those especially in need of food and comfort.

Our Y is a lifeline for so many. We simply can’t do without the Y. Our YMCA helps Spokane thrive. At the very least, here is a thank you, a sincere expression of appreciation for all our Y has done, and is striving to continue to do, to light up the lives each and of us in one way or another.
