Time for a health plan

This goes out to all those people who loved their employer-provided health insurance up until they no longer had it because they have been furloughed or laid off due to COVID.

If the U.S. had a universal health system — like every other advanced country — those people may still not have a job, but they would still have health coverage. This problem will be magnified if any of these now unemployed people contract the virus.

Our president has promised that all COVID medical expenses will be covered, but this promise is about as valid as his promise that the virus would be gone by April. We need to let our legislators know that it is time for a universal health plan, whether that be expanded Obamacare, Medicare for All, or a European mandatory insurance program.

Your life depends on your willingness to stand up for what you deserve.
