Give counties power

1. Remember Winston Churchill? He was said to be “lacking in intelligence” and “unfit to serve.” How did that work out? Same said about Trump. And how is that working out?

2. Trumpian wisdom! When the pandemic broke out, President Trump looked out and saw that he had 50 natural geo-political regions. He gave the control of those regions to the governors to do as they will. So why did our governor not look out and see that he had 40 natural geo-political regions (counties) and have the commissioners and mayors run their own regions instead of running the whole state like it was King County. And he was a king? Perhaps just a lack of wisdom.

3. Perhaps it’s time for our commissioners and our mayor to say “It’s OUR county and OUR city, we will do what is best for US.”

4. To a hammer, everything is a nail … to Gov. Inslee, every county is King County.

5. In a few days, my wife and I will celebrate our 62nd anniversary. We will be enriching a restaurant in Idaho, because ours are closed!
