Ignorance vs stupidity

Re “A manufactured crisis” (Jerry J. Kovach, May 17):

If one were to do actual research of one’s own — not taking for granted the spin of cable news — one would find that no taxpayer money went to that Wuhan China lab (emphasis on singular, not plural).

It went to an American institution that did work in conjunction with that Chinese laboratory (again, singular).

I ask a question: if Doctor Fauci is so bad of a person doing all you stated, then how has he served under five other presidents (Republican & Democrats)?? One would think that if he is so bad then one administration would have caught on and fired him for “just cause.”

I would hope you could (without a mask) go into the VA nursing home facility and also the VA hospital and also the morgue. You, sir, have zero clue.

Which brings me back to my old saying from the ‘80s:

You know the difference because ignorance & stupidity?

You can fix ignorance through education, but you cannot fix stupid.
