Values vs. whims

Michigan is experiencing disastrous flooding, yet Donald Trump threatens to cut off federal funds for the state. The reason? Because of how the state of Michigan might conduct its elections.

I thought that the Republican Party was the party in favor of states’ rights. Apparently now Republicans support their traditional values only if those values do not conflict with Trump’s whims.
