The Bible and the virus

Would adhering to God’s clear instructions, as found in the Bible, have prevented the COVID-19 virus, its attendant loss of life and the devastation of the world’s economies?

It’s said that COVID-19 came from humans eating bats for food. The Bible says that bats are unclean and not fit for human consumption. Eating monkey meat, which caused the Ebola virus, is also forbidden in the Bible.

But directions about clean and unclean meats were only meant for the Jews, right? No, these instructions were clearly meant for all mankind throughout the ages. It’s also fascinating that Jesus, over 2,000 years ago, warned about pestilences (pandemics) in the last days of Earth’s history.
