Vestal, lighten up!

Come on Vestal, lighten up!! (“One voice should not drown out others,” Oct. 27).

I agree, we will continue reading the Spokesman-Review as well as Shawn’s column. Although generally we don’t agree with Shawn, amazingly on occasion we do agree! But what is important to be interested in all points of view politically in order to be more balanced in one’s own understanding of our country’s political direction. And the S-R should be appreciated in allowing such views to be published.

The far right and the far left folks are not helpful nor is the mainstream new media, in my judgment. Thank goodness for the “far-center” folks like us who support our cops, schools, first responders, military, etc. The U.S. is the most generous country on earth willing to help each other as well as others in need. Anytime we have a major disaster we see many of us rushing to support & help!! And while some may think that this country is coming to an end, even though perhaps we find that we are not perfect, our united strength will pull this country through!!

So thanks, the Spokesman-Review, for being here for us!! Miss the printed Saturday edition, however.
