Lutz’s voice needed

This is NOT the time to dismiss and try to replace Dr. Lutz - a person who has the courage to say hard things other leadership is denying, who can ask more of us than we want to hear, who believes the science of this virus. As hard as it is to abide the guidelines and to see unmasked others caring naught for others, there is relief knowing Dr. Lutz is at the helm.

If this boils down to personality issues, get over it. We all are suffering - emotionally and economically - from pandemic fatigue. So what? If we don’t work together to fight this we are doomed for more devastation. Hang tough, work together, find resources to mitigate our stress, find ways to keep businesses open within the scientific guidelines, instead of “giving up” in denial of what is happening.

Let’s band together and fight this, for the good of the whole. Mandate mask wearing, and social distancing, demand from DC accurate, quick testing. Use our anger and angst to fight this together, supporting Dr. Lutz, and not yielding to cowardice in the face of public pressure. We must NOT yield to selfishness at the cost of more lives, illness, medical bills, lost jobs, furloughs, ad nauseum. We have already paid a high price, exacerbated by not having a national policy and letting this become a political issue instead of a national health issue.

Dr. Lutz has been a trusted servant for our city/county. Don’t let us down.
