Get professionals on the board

Spokane deserves a better Board of Health. After watching the entire Board of Health meeting on Nov. 5, I can only say we need to put more health care workers on the board.

The decision to retain an inexperienced administrator (Clark) who has personal differences with her far more experienced physician colleague (Dr. Lutz) is the ultimate example of a cop-out. The board admitted they failed our community in allowing petty personality differences to fester between Dr. Lutz and Ms. Clark. Then they took the easy way out by firing Dr. Lutz. Yet another failure.

It is our community who will suffer from their failure. And if there are increased COVID deaths because of this failure, please remember the board members who are responsible.
