A must-read opinion

The guest opinion “Please help protect your loved ones … and us” by Dr. Stephen Malkoski in the November 22 issue was outstanding — and timely. Dr. Malkoski is the Director for Critical Care at Sacred Heart and Holy Family Hospitals and is on the front lines in treating COVID-19 patients.

His guest opinion is a must-read in our current climate. His descriptions of the serious symptoms endured by the afflicted—oftentimes unsuccessfully—is scary. But his advice to the still healthy should be read and heeded.

Letters Policy

The Spokesman-Review invites original letters on local topics of public interest. Your letter must adhere to the following rules:

  • No more than 250 words
  • We reserve the right to reject letters that are not factually correct, racist or are written with malice.
  • We cannot accept more than one letter a month from the same writer.
  • With each letter, include your daytime phone number and street address.
  • The Spokesman-Review retains the nonexclusive right to archive and re-publish any material submitted for publication.
