He thinks he’s slick

Trump thinks he’s slick. When he loses the election, he thinks all he has to do is say “It’s a hoax,” “It’s a sham,” “The ballots are a disaster.” If he says so, it must be true.

Trump is used to dealing with employees or White House co-conspirators who always have to agree with him. Only this time, he is dealing with the American people and just his saying so, doesn’t make it true. He is the president who basically tells at least one lie with every sentence he utters. Why would we trust him?

So Trump will get trounced in the election, but will whine, fuss, and lie like he always does. But nobody needs to listen.

Unless you consider giving the filthy rich huge tax breaks, here is a man who has not accomplished a single thing in four years. He has been too busy breaking down all the traditions that made this country great and filling his and his donor’s pockets with taxpayer dollars. Every challenge he has faced — COVID-19, failing economy, health care, civil unrest — has been handled with denial or an “in-your-face” response that made things worse.

He will be tried in court by New York State for a variety of crimes as soon as he is out of office. He expects us to let him off the hook. No thank you Mr. ex-President.

This election is about whether this is Trump’s country or yours.
