Referendum questions
Just a few questions regarding the referendum (Referendum 90) to require sex education in the schools:
To those who oppose sex ed, do you know you can opt out?
Do you realize that you would be denying access for those who WANT sex ed for their kids if you win? (So, YOU can already opt out at any time, but all the folks who want sex ed for their kids would be out of luck. )
Are you aware that schools that provide sex ed see a 17% decrease in teenage pregnancies and subsequent abortions/teenage single moms?
Why do you want to make small children more vulnerable to sexual predators? (Part of the curriculum encourages small children to report uncomfortable interactions to a trusted adult.) There are a TON of adults who could have REALLY benefited from this info when we were little, like all those alter boys abused in the Catholic church.
Have you actually reviewed the curriculum?
Knowledge is power. Just opt out if you don’t like the curriculum and let others be educated.
