Disgraceful

As an American who has never belonged to any political party, I think it disgraceful how we have allowed the Trump administration to inflict a downward spiral on our country.

Many Americans cannot get affordable health care — disgraceful. Many graduate college with a burden of debt that will take many years to pay off — disgraceful. Immigrants who were brought into our country as children are denied a path to citizenship — disgraceful. Regulations protecting our deteriorating environment are being dismantled — disgraceful. The inequality of wealth between rich and poor is expanding, not declining — disgraceful.

Our foreign policy cozies up to dictators, while alienating our allies — disgraceful. Measures are taken to make it harder for our people to vote in our elections — disgraceful. Our high unemployment is made to look better by extensive underemployment that doesn’t pay a living wage — disgraceful. We tolerate a president who is a vulgar, narcissistic, pathological liar, who has been hiding his tax returns and not paying his fair share of taxes, and whose delays and denials regarding our lethal pandemic have needlessly caused massive American suffering and death — disgraceful.

Too many were fooled four years ago, and the fact that millions will be fooled again this year is disgraceful.
