Reykdal has earned reelection

Please vote for Chris Reykdal for superintendent of public instruction. Under the leadership of Superintendent Reykdal, the last four years have been transformational for our education system in Washington state — increased funding, the state’s accountability system was rewritten, and student discipline rules were updated to address racial inequities.

High school graduation rates have reached an all-time high, and rates for students of color are rising the fastest. New Graduation Pathways provides students with technical skills, industry credentials and preparation for work, technical colleges, apprenticeships and military service. We have challenges ahead of us. More than ever, honesty, and experienced leadership matter in this role!

His opponent has no public education experience and she has been dishonest about her education, her experience and the issues. She would hand over our tax dollars to for-profit corporations to run our schools. Right now, we need proven leadership, not Washington State’s version of ideological, inexperienced Betsy DeVos who has been a disaster for public education in America.

Chris Reykdal prioritizes success for all students, and we need to keep him as our State Superintendent. He has the recognized leadership skills, proven experience, integrity and partnerships to achieve even more for our children. Join me in voting for Chris Reykdal for Superintendent.
