SEIU backs Volz

Representative Mike Volz has represented our community in the Legislature since 2017 in a straight-forward and honorable way. He deserves to be re-elected for another term.

As school employees, we count on Mike’s experience to support and improve our public schools. As Mike was growing up, his father Gene was a union representative for Public School Employees of Washington, SEIU Local 1948 (PSE). Because of his background, Mike understands the issues facing school employees like us. He’s approachable, he listens well and he prioritizes public education in the Legislature. Mike’s door is always open, and he is easily accessible. He has also been helpful and effective in advocating on behalf of professional development for our state’s 26,000 paraeducators.

Mike Volz is a good match for the working families in our community. His voice of common sense is a benefit to all of us. We are excited to announce the PSE once again enthusiastically endorses Mike Volz for re-election as our representative.

Charlotte Shindler, state president

PSE SEIU Local 1948
