Kudos to S-R

Kudos for the decision of the Spokesman-Review to stop publishing unsigned editorials and endorsements.

Rob Curley’s article on Monday Oct. 28 described well how this decision aligns with the mission to inform its readers of important issues, focusing on giving readers the best factual and contextual information that the reader can then use to make his or her own decisions. I value having a local newspaper, and am happy to see this evolution in policy that can keep this institution relevant and valuable to our community.

The Spokesman-Review invites original letters on local topics of public interest. Your letter must adhere to the following rules:

No more than 250 words
We reserve the right to reject letters that are not factually correct, racist or are written with malice.
We cannot accept more than one letter a month from the same writer.
With each letter, include your daytime phone number and street address.
The Spokesman-Review retains the nonexclusive right to archive and re-publish any material submitted for publication.
