USPS aid rightly rejected

I support Congressman Cathy McMorris Rodgers regarding her vote against the USPS Assistance Package.

I watched the testimony of Postmaster General DeJoy, in both the Senate and in the House. The USPS has $24 billion in the bank, including CARES act monies. Gen. DeJoy has backed down regarding the overtime and other cost-effective measures until after the election and has testified as such to both Houses of Congress .

The removal of mailboxes and sorting machines has to do with obsolete product and introduction of more efficient tools. This occurs in an ongoing effort to keep the USPS up to date with volume.

As with most of the federal government, I believed that the USPS is top heavy in management personnel and many times communication between management and those that deliver the product is wanting. I do not believe that local postal workers are the problem. I am always amazed at the good work of local personnel.

At any rate, am very glad that Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers voted against the USPS Assistant Package.
