Save the USPS

The United States Postal Service is an institution and it deserves to be saved.

I recently suggested everyone should ask the President to declare imminent domain over their mailboxes and make them part of the U.S. Postal System. I recommended a rent of $7.00 per month and said they should let the President know they would agree to pay this sum. Not out of reach even for the poor.

I know some will complain that this is communism, however, if they are honest, they will agree it should have been this way from the start and the U.S.P.S. would not be experiencing financial problems.

My alternate suggestion was to print a $1.00 stamp for use when mailing letters from home. The U.S.P.S. could continue to use the Forever stamps for use at Bluebirds and Post Offices.

Do you have a better idea?
