Agitator in chief

Donald Trump’s message since he first announced his candidacy has been, “Let’s you and him fight.” Lurking under the cover of patriotism he has been responsible for social unrest and now he is asking police and city officials to get into a brawl. He is not the solution of the trouble; he is the trouble.

Are there looters associated with street protests? There seem to be. Are some in the protest engaging in property destruction and vandalism? Apparently. But by and large people are pursuing their right to assemble and their right to have their grievances heard. Trump would happily rip holes in the Constitution he has sworn to uphold so long as he remains at center stage. Donald Trump would be pleased to be president of Bedlam. Of course Putin and Putin’s trolls would like nothing more than the balkanization of the United States.
