Fluoride is not the cure

I believe oral health is a primary concern to overall health. Our diets alone play a huge role in all health aspects. The mighty mouth ingests everything into our bodies and an unhealthy mouth means trouble. Proper oral care should be a major concern for everyone. From what I understand, fluoridation is primarily beneficial to children. Seems good oral hygiene would be more beneficial to teach them- it would last a lifetime and not have ill effects on an entire society.

Knowing fluoride is in the water is not a cure for improper oral care. This issue has been around since I was a child in the 1960’s-likely longer- and always a heated debate. We already have too many additives in the products we consume that our bodies cannot process correctly.

Fluoride in our water seems to be a quick and cheap remedy to replace good common sense. Dental problems occur regardless of fluoride. With proper diet and hygiene, visits to the dentist would be more of a maintenance procedure. If you want fluoride in your water, add it yourself. An entire society should not be subjected to such an abject issue.
