A little science

Several times in her letter (“Not without my consent,” Aug. 30), Ms. Carol Black refers to fluoride as a drug/medicine. Perhaps a little science might help. Fluoride is a naturally occurring element. It is not a drug. It is even found naturally in water. It may even already be in Spokane’s drinking water.
