Botched response

It is surprising to me there is not more mention of Donald Trump’s mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic. A quick review of the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation list of COVID-19 deaths per 100,000 people by country is shocking: A few examples: South Korea: 0.65 deaths/100,000; Greece: 3 deaths/100,000; Poland: 5.78 deaths/100,000; the USA: 59.77 deaths/100,000. That is not a typo.

The USA population is 328.2 million. South Korea had its first case diagnosed on 1/20/2020 - the same day as America. Granted, we have different demographics, more visitors, etc. It is estimated, however, that if had we adopted a similar approach to South Korea we would likely have prevented 80-90% of the 196,000 deaths that we have as of 9/15.

Donald Trump’s colossal botch job is even more damning in light of the recent revelations on the Woodward tapes, where Trump is recorded acknowledging how deadly the virus was, all while he downplayed it in public. He is still holding indoor rallies where people aren’t required to wear masks. It is clear he doesn’t give a rip about the safety of Americans.

Keep America Great??!? Let’s face it - Trump is a con man and a criminal. Let’s boot him out in November.
