Trump is the panic

As we Americans first learned of the seriousness of this virus in March / April, there was no panic. Responses varied from mobilization to denial. No panic. Heroic efforts were performed by health care providers, first responders, teachers, bus drivers, parents and grandparents. No panic.

If Mr. Trump had shared his understanding of the seriousness of the virus as he did with Bob Woodward on February 7, there would have been no panic, as he alleges. Should we challenge this president’s explanation, or should we believe that President Obama was born in Kenya?

In 2012, four Americans were tragically murdered in Benghazi. This president’s party was outraged and alleged that the Obama administration was negligent. After four years of investigations, no evidence was provided to support these allegations.

We Americans don’t need to investigate whether Mr. Trump is culpable and that his delays have directly caused many deaths. He admits his culpability. We Americans deserve better, whether we are Republicans, Democrats or independents. Our children and grandchildren deserve better. Heaven help us if he is elected to another four years. That thought should cause panic.
