Repurpose the mall

Northtown is showing signs of slowly becoming a ghost town. Let’s revitalize it. I would like to see someone develop the vacant Sears into condos for citizens 55+. Spokane needs more housing and the location is ideal for condo residents. Park and grocery nearby. As well as access to medical facilities.

The mall would offer residents places to meet friends for coffee, get a brew with a meal, get a manicure or haircut, search for the newest books. How about walking the mall for exercise to satisfy Fitbit. Currently the mall would offer activities for residents to entertain the grandchildren at a movie or the blue zoo, etc. Truth be known, we adults like these activities also.

Let’s come up with incentives to acquire a couple of other local businesses to the mall. Seems to me this could be a win-win situation.
