Open all schools

As full-time Washington state employees and parents of three young children in District 81, we can say confidently that virtual learning is NOT working for our family. It is an extremely stressful situation with unrealistic expectations as to child IT knowledge and experience, and parent time/energy to assist after an 8+ hour work day.

Navigating all the programs and apps is overwhelming. It is far too many hours for a child to sit in front of the computer in a learning environment that does not truly foster learning, but checks a box.

I am tired of my children being told they are “not listening.” Try listening to us: ”Open the schools. Please. All the grades.”
