It’s not the cars’ fault

Your headline on the front page of your December 17 paper (“Cars no match for ice-covered streets”) is wrong. It should have read “Drivers no match …”

Automobiles don’t know what the road condition is, and they don’t control their operators. And everyone should know that driving a four wheel-drive vehicle doesn’t improve the ability to stop. Don’t give the drivers a break.
