Following the lead of the recent Sundance Film Festival, the Pacific Northwest’s premier movie event, the Seattle International Film Festival, is going virtual.

The 47th edition of SIFF will take place April 8-18 and will – as a festival email explains – includes “90-plus features and 100-plus shorts from over 50 countries, plus daily events, talks, Q&As, and more.”

All the screening events will occur through the new streaming SIFF Channel. All the films will be available on demand.

Pass packages include an all-access pass ($300, $350 for non-members), a Film Only pass ($200 for members, $250 for non-members) and 6-Packs ($63 for members, $75 for non-members).

Passes will go on sale March 4. Individual tickets will go on sale March 25. For more information, click here.

Then, as the festival organizers say, “All you need is an internet connection and a screen (the bigger the better) – so put on something comfy, ready the couch, and pop the popcorn.”
