What we didn’t get

Mr. John Miller, in his letter to the editor of May 25 (“Got what we voted for”), listed a number of things that he believed “we got” as a result of electing Joe Biden as president.

Here’s a few things I believe we didn’t get: four more years of an assault on our constitution and governmental institutions by a authoritarian wannabe dictator; four more years of climate denial; four more years of an economic policy designed to enrich the Trump family and their billionaire buddies; four more years of coddling dictatorial thugs like Vladimir Putin; four more years of misinformation on, and denial of, the COVID-19 pandemic, four more years of attacks on scientists and journalists if their opinions differed with right wing dogma; four more years of the U.S. being the laughing stock for the rest of the world.
