Gray over Green

I’m writing regarding the Mead school board race. Carmen Green is trying to keep her seat from challenger BrieAnne Gray. All I can say is thank goodness BrieAnne is running!

Mead voters know all too well that we’ve needed to replace Green for some time. Green has a history of saying what she thinks people want to hear, making bad decisions and then not following through. I was reminded of this when I saw her door-hanger that her campaign left around one of the schools in Mead recently. It says “open, transparent dialogue” and “an inclusive, community driven process.” Does she think voters don’t know or remember her record? These statements could not be more inaccurate.

Her votes to over-spend the budget and then close two district schools that met very specific needs were anything but transparent. She said one thing before the vote and says another thing now in her campaign. She invited the community to beg to the board to save their schools, and then still voted to close them. If that is what she means by “inclusive and community driven,” then we don’t need her kind of leadership.

We need BrieAnne Gray for the Mead school board!
