Few author readings are more popular than those delivered by David Sedaris . And tickets are on sale for Sedaris’ Nov. 19th reading at The Bing.
Sedaris is the author of such best-selling books as “Calypso,” “Naked,” “Me Talk Pretty One Day” and “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.” He will appear in support of his latest book “Happy-Go-Lucky.”
In his review of “Happy-Go-Lucky,” New York Times reviewer Henry Alford wrote, “Most contemporary comic essayists have honed their powers of self-deprecation into excoriating, and sometimes exhausting, laser beams, but Sedaris is often willing to apply this same level of scrutiny to other people as well – and to do it without being nasty.”
Kirkus Reviews reported, “In his previous collection of original essays, “Calypso” (2018), the author was unusually downbeat, fixated on aging and the deaths of his mother and sister. There’s bad news in this book, too – most notably, the death of his problematic and seemingly indestructible father at 96 – but Sedaris generally carries himself more lightly.”
Tickets are limited, so don’t delay.
