For fly-fishing fun, head to the Lantern on Thursday

If you’ve ever been curious about the sport of fly fishing, or if you’re a fan yourself, the Magic Lantern Theatre is offering you a chance either to learn more or simply exult in the experience.

Thanks to the local sponsor, Spokane’s Silver Bow Fly Shop , the Lantern will be screening the 2022 International Fly Fishing Film Festiva l from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Theater doors will open at 6.

According to the festival website, the traveling event is “is the world’s leading fly-fishing film event, consisting of films produced by professional filmmakers from all corners of the globe.”

The slate of short films includes “Caddis Magic” (directed by Gilbert Rowley and Phil Tuttle), “Out West: A Smallmouth Bass Adventure” (directed by Todd Moen), “A Fly-fishing Refugee” (directed by Brian Kelly) and several others.
