One of the most popular literary characters to come out of Wyoming is Walt Longmire. He’s the protagonist in Craig Johnson ’s series of best-selling novels.
Many fans, though, know of Longmire not just through regular books but audiobooks, thanks to the narration of George Guidall . And other know of him through the TV series “Longmire,” which ran from 2012-14 and stars the Australian actor Robert Taylor.
But the source of all things Longmire is Johnson and his novels, the 18th of which is titled “Hell and Back” and which will be the focus of a Sept. 17th Northwest Passages book event at The Bing.
Auntie’s Bookstore will be on hand to sell copies of Johnson’s novels. Click here for ticket information .
That’s hardly the only Northwest Passages event scheduled for September. Jamie Ford, author of “The Many Daughters of Afong Moy” will appear at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Montvale Events Center. Carolyn Lamberson of The Spokesman-Review will engage Ford in conversation.
And as a change of pace, Northwest Passages will present an evening of music with The Peter Rivera R&B Orchestra on Sept. 23rd at The Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.
