Let’s begin the weekend with a German heist flick
A fair number of good movies are playing in Spokane this weekend. Most interesting, of course, are the selections from the 13th Spokane International Film Festival . But of the mainstream openings, James Cameron’s “Sanctum” — the cave adventure that can be seen in 3-D — looks decent.
Can’t say the same for “The Roommate,” which from the trailers looks to be an update of the 1992 urban horror feature “Single White Female.” For those who like action and/or religious horror, there’s “The Mechanic” and “The Rite,” both of which are playing at multiple locations.
AMC’s River Park Square Cinemas, besides hosting half of the SpIFF selections, is also playing Mike Leigh’s “Another Year.” So there seems to be a bit of something for everyone.
