Waiting for lunch…

Good afternoon, Netizens...

The Rockford Fair is but one of a blessed few free fairs left throughout our region, but one of the few places where people wait in long lines to spend their money is in front of various food vendors. As the picture shows, the lines were long waiting to get something to eat, but the food was infectiously good homemade stuff that sticks to your ribs.

However, there were also enough sno-cones, elephant ears, cotton candy, ice cream and other sugar-encrusted goodies scattered throughout the fair grounds to satisfy even the most discerning kids' taste and even some adults who were willing to stand in long lines waiting for ice cream.

However, one of the more interesting aspects of lunch time at the Rockford Fair were the discussions that went dancing around the tables, from family to family, not to mention the occasional impromptu family reunions that took place throughout the afternoon.

It made the waiting in the long lines worthwhile.
