Going Mobile

We’re awash in fall color in Ketchum - go get yours

We traveled this week to Ketchum, Idaho, in the middle of the night. The next day, we found a gorgeous mountain town filled with brilliant red, orange and yellow.

What to do? We decided to take it in on a lovely hike along Big Wood River north of town. The Fox Creek Loop Trail was about six miles through rolling terrain, just about the perfect leg-stretcher on a bright fall day.

Later, a peddle trip through town found Steve Earle and The Dukes loading out from a show Tuesday at Whiskey Jacques. This town near Sun Valley is happening with music and events, including the annual Trailing of the Sheep Festival set to hit town Oct. 10.

The colors are peaking here in Ketchum. What about Spokane? Where do you go to find your favorite fall scenes? Let us know with a note to goingmobile@spokesman.com.
