Punching the clock

I’ve only had a couple jobs where I had to “clock in.” Both were at grocery stores. At both newspapers, we filled out time cards every couple of weeks. When I was punching the time clock, I knew I had just a minute or two on either side of my break or start of my shift. If I was any later, I’d be docked pay.
