Remembering/anticipating the Ides of March
“When I saw your Ides of March question last week, I couldn’t resist,” wrote Marty Huseman. “On that day, I’ll be celebrating my birthday!
“When I was in the fourth grade at St. Martin of Tours in Cheviot, Ohio, I landed the part of the soothsayer in Shakespeare’s play ‘Julius Caesar.’
“It gave me great pleasure to warn Caesar ‘Beware the Ides of March!’”
Not that the warning ever does much good.
