The Slice

A testy scene at University of Phoenix Stadium

So the driver of the media shuttle bus took a wrong turn right outside the stadium.

His contention was that he had been directed to go that way.

In any event, he soon became embroiled in a brief imbroglio with guys in orange vests directing traffic. There were raised voices.

Then the shuttle driver played a card I wouldn't have assumed would win him any points.

"Do you understand?" he shouted. "I've got media in here! Media!"

I couldn't hear how the guys directing traffic responded. But I've heard profanity one or two times before, so I could guess.

Soon enough, we were headed in the right direction.

But I decided I'll have to try that after we get back to Spokane and I have colleagues in my car.

"I've got media in here. Media!"

Or not.
