Workshops for creating submissions will be scheduled by the Links, Inc., Spokane Chapter, a national organization for African American women and women of African descent over the next few weeks.
Prompts to assist in your response:
• What does activism mean to you?
• How can art challenge injustice and celebrate resilience?
• How can art challenge injustice and celebrate resilience?
• Write a story about a family that repeats the same tradition or mistake every generation. What finally happens to break or continue the cycle?
• How have the people around you assisted or deterred your destiny? What person has most influenced you on your path?
• Reflect on the cycle of the seasons as a metaphor for personal growth, challenge or resilience. Which season best represents your current experience, and what can you learn from it?
