Need Gift Buying Advice

Lisa P.

Christmas is so much fun-getting into the spirit with decorations, buying presents for the kids. One thing that I have problems with each year is the gifts that I feel compelled to buy for my husband’s family. I give a photo calendar to my parents each year and nothing for my brothers and his family. We have lived apart for many years and it’s just not something that we have done. Yet for my husband’s mother and her husband, I buy several gifts and also gifts for his niece and nephew. They do the same for us. Yet it’s difficult because they live far away. We only see his brother and family whenever we travel the distance to visit. What do you buy for these kids that you don’t know their interests? Yes, you can ask, but it’s just not the same-buying gifts, mailing them, not seeing them opened. Do I go with the gift card again this year?
