Curiously cute

Getting slippers for Christmas usually sucks. Getting Sock Monkey Slippers for Christmas would not suck.

I spied these kitschy-cute slipper socks yesterday at Children’s Corner, and was smitten. My voice got really high. I started talking baby talk — an annoying phenomenon ordinarily reserved for tiny live animals. And, much to my horror, I was unable to fight the urge to slide a pair from the rack and snuggle them.

Sock Cows, Sock Horses and Sock Elephants were also treated to sing-songy professions of love, and Eskimo kisses. Yeah, they’re that cute.

(Is it just me or does that trunk leave a little too little to the imagination?)
