Don’t be jealous.

Tricia Jo Webster

So yesterday I ventured out in the bitter cold in search of Sharpie Metallic Pens so I could get busy making cool Christmas ornaments (see previous post), but got sidetracked. Ended up at Value Village (thrift stores are my home away from home when I have other things that must be done but I just don’t want to do them). Thought maybe I’d kill some time looking for ugly Christmas sweaters but got sidetracked from that, too, when I realized the little cardigan I had on wasn’t doing a thing to keep me warm.

Ta-da! Look what I found:

red coat

The coat’s so new one of the pockets was still sewn together. And in the other pocket I found two shiny dimes. Bonus. The purse didn’t hold any shiny surprises (or any unpleasant ones … nothing worse than checking out a purse and putting your paws on someone’s old Kleenex), but it’s just like new, and cute to boot. Best part? The grand total was just $17.98! Leaving me plenty of cash for those Sharpies … and ugly holiday sweaters.
