If you want extreme, go Asian, young film fan

Just got finished watching the Hong Kong film “Koma,” the second feature in a row that is being distributed by Tartan USA under the banner “Asia Extreme.” The film I watched last night was “Phone,” a film that is more mystery than graphic slasher flick. But “Koma” made up for things by being about kidney thieves – complete with the urban myth of ice baths and notes that say “Call the police right away or YOU WILL DIE!”

I have several more to work through, from “Whispering Corridors” to “Doppelganger” to “A Tale of Two Sisters.” Can’t wait.
