Or, worse, another Fergie

There’s lots of talk about class in America. As in we’re not supposed to have it. Right. And the front gates of, say, Manito Country Club are wide open to all those whose living wages wither within a couple of poker chips of the poverty line.

Even so, class in America is nothing compared to the country that spawned us. The recent breakup of Prince William, second in line to the British throne, and his girlfriend inspired a whole column in the Los Angeles Times .

The point not made: The lucky one in this whole affair is the prince’s now-ex-girlfriend. Last thing the world needs is another Princess Di .
