A guy I served in Vietnam with, Sgt. Paul Kirby, just sent me this link to a Web site that boasts some of the most memorable tunes of those war years.

Songs that mean the most to me: “Light My Fire” by The Doors, “Sugar Sugar” by The Archies, “One” by Three Dog Night, “Time Has Come Today” by The Chambers Brothers, “The Letter” by The Box Tops, “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane.

Looking at that list, I realize that it could be placed in a dictionary next to the word “eclectic.”
