When you write a story similar to the one I wrote for Friday’s 7 section , you have to consider the geek factor. That term, geek factor, doesn’t come from the journalist’s handbook. But it should be there.

When it comes to geekdom, I admit: I’m a poser. I have a bit of knowledge, which I augment by talking to those who have lots more – guys such as my colleagues Isamu Jordan and Tom Bowers , and on occasion my son-in-law, Moss Levenson – but I’m no expert.
