Party’s grandeur tarnished

I am returning to a Bellevue, Wash., office a political flier warning my household about a “Dr. Chris Marr.”

Sixty-five of the years in my life have been voting years and they have always included Republicans. No more. This flier, among its many other “gems,” states that “Dr. Marr’s record is enough to make you sick.” I think not half as sick as the mentality producing tactics like these.

Of course, at the same time, it does serve to reveal the growing disease in America’s beloved “Grand Old Party.” What a shame it is. Would that some folks in there could work to restore its integrity. Get rid of the tea cups maybe – just for openers?
